One of the leading names in turkey hunting circles, Jim Clay has given turkey hunting seminars and hunted in dozens of states across the country, from Florida to California. In 1972, Clay co-founded one of the leading game call companies in America.

From polling turkey-product manufacturers, competitive callers, outdoor writers and editors of outdoor magazines, Turkey Hunting Strategies introduced in 1998 the first-ever Turkey Hunters Hall of Fame.

Jim Clay was one of those inductees.

Clay conducts turkey-hunting seminars and hunts wild turkeys all around the nation, having bagged the Grand Slam of turkey hunting several times.

An avid hunter, nature photographer and naturalist, Jim has won and placed in dozens of turkey calling contests throughout the contry. He is a two-time winner of the World All-Around Turkey Calling Championships. Widely respected for his teaching ability and knowledge of the elusive wild turkey, Clay has been in contant demand as a seminar speaker wherever wild turkey enthusiasts assemble. Jim continually stresses the need for fundamental turkey hunting safety and ethical outdoor conduct. He has hunted wild turkeys for more than 45 years.

Jim is a life member and supporter of many outdoor organizations, such as the National Wild Turkey Federation, Trout Unlimited, National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, and B.A.S.S. In addition to his hunting pastimes, he enjoys fly tying and trout & bass fishing.

Married to wife Teresa, the Clay's have two sons, Matt and Chace. An Elder and Sunday School teacher in the Presbyterian Church, Jim is also active in civic groups including the Rotary Club. Jim holds a B.A. and a M.A. in English from West Virginia University.
